A complete memoir is typically about 6 hours of finished audio, recorded across 6 sessions over several weeks or months. You set the pace. Some clients prefer to do one patch at a time, while others commit to the full Complete Memoir package upfront.
You receive professionally mastered audio files in multiple formats (MP3, WAV, and more), ready to share with family or keep as a personal archive. We also offer optional add-ons like private podcast distribution (so the whole family can listen on their phones) and written transcription.
That's exactly what the coaching session is for. Our story coach works with you one-on-one to identify your best stories, organize them into a natural flow, and prepare you to tell them confidently. You don't need to be a "good storyteller" — you just need to be yourself.
Absolutely — most of our clients purchase Soundquilt as a gift for a parent or grandparent. We offer gift certificates that you can present to your loved one, and then they schedule their coaching and recording sessions at their convenience.
We ship a professional Shure MV7+ USB microphone directly to your door. It's yours to use for the duration of your recording project. When you're finished, simply drop it in the mail using the prepaid return label we include in the box. The MV7+ produces studio-quality audio with zero setup required — just plug it into your computer's USB port.
Just like a quilt is made of individual patches stitched together, your Soundquilt memoir is made of individual recording sessions called patches. Each patch produces about one hour of finished, professionally produced audio. Your first patch includes coaching, mic delivery, training, and recording. Additional patches include just the recording session and post-production.
